About Jake

Jake started JDP as Technical Support Assistant Trainee and became an official Assistant after 18 months. He has a degree in Motion graphics and Animation.

As part of the Technical Support Team, Jake is responsible for completing drainage take offs, and Rainbox tank designs whilst also answering the Technical Support direct line where handles customer queries.

What's the best thing about your job?

I love the variation from day to day, and when we get a new starter at JDP and we get to tell them all about what we do.

What was your first job?

I first worked at the McDonald’s restaurant in Carlisle city centre to support myself through summer breaks as a student. The Big Mac sauce secret is paprika, gherkin and an essence of “How did I end up here?”

If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?

I would like to be a player in the NFL, but being realistic, I would like to be a water boy/ball boy at a Super Bowl match-up between Tom Brady and Eli Manning.

Sweet or savoury?

Sweet, savoury... whatever you put in front of me!

What’s your biggest achievement to date?

I watched the extended edition of LOTR: The Two Towers, in one sitting. (3h 55m)
